How to Witness to your Real Estate Agent(s)

This wasn’t really planned but….

Sometime ago I put the Gospel on my voice mail message on my cell phone, so that whoever calls me (family or friends etc) will get to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel. I’ve witness to a couple of people without actually planning to and its worked great.

Well, recently I’ve started looking into purchasing a house in the Newnan, GA area. As I’ve been driving around looking, I’ve been calling different real estate agents and leaving them a message about this house or that house. Usually when they call back I’m on the phone checking out the next great deal. They go to voice mail, hear the Gospel, and leave a message. I’ve actually have gotten a response that was, “…oh….um….that was good….I understand….ah….about the house…”

I really wasn’t planning on witnessing to real estate agents, but it worked out pretty good that way.

Billy the Humanist or Sad Day at the BP Station

Yesterday, while on my drive home I notice a fellow who I’ve seen before standing on the side of the road protesting a local BP station. I have seen him before and thought to myself that I needed to go and witnessed to him. Well, yesterday was just a bad day. I just wanted to go home and decided that I would do it another time. I was going to be shut down anyway, so I drove on by. Ever getting the feeling (I know feelings….feelings) that you just have to go back? Well, I did.

About 5 miles down the road I couldn’t take it anymore and told the Lord that I would turn around in the little country store’s parking lot near my house. As I turned around and drove back to the BP station, I knew I was going to get shut down, but now I knew I was being obedient to the call of God to go.

I pulled into the parking lot of the BP and Billy (the guy protesting the store told immediate notice of me. I walked up and asked him what was going on and he explained to me that he had gotten ripped off by a store clerk after purchasing a winning lottery ticket (I thought to myself: all this for a lottery ticket?). The lottery ticket was for $1200 according to Billy. We chatted for a minute and I swung to the law…Billy checked out of the conversation and stated that he was a humanist and didn’t want to talk about religion. After trying to restarted the witness encounter I asked him if he had kept the ten commandments. He stared at me blankly and then state he didn’t wish to talk about Christianity. I offered him a Gospel tract, but it was rejected. Just then a black truck pulled up to the corner with the windows down and a young couple inside. I turned to them and offered them a million dollars. The young lady stared blankly at the tract and the guy shouted, “oh yeah! I’ve needed one of these!” I turned and shook Billy’s hand, got back into my truck, and drove away sad. Billy, a 59 year old humanist had just rejected the kindest offer ever made. I wondered how much longer he had and was nearly brought to tears that he rejected Jesus Christ.

A Wretched Creation Vaction

I’m BACK! Just back actually, from the Wretched Creation Vacation. It was a blast. It was filled with so much information that I couldn’t recall it all, even if I tried. Good thing I got the DVDs. I was very interested in Jason Lisle’s lecture on astronomy, particularly the time-light dilation topic and, of course, Todd Friel’s sermons on salvation and justification werwe great. I think he was rushing a bit to stay on time. However, the information presented is exactly what I needed to hear. Plus, Brother Ralph emailed me the chart which helps the whole thing make sense to me. The whole trip was completely awesome. It was worth the eight-hour drive. We even had a chance to interview Brother Ralph Provance about witnessing while experiencing tribulation. I should have the video up soon. We also had a chance to chat with Justin Peters, Todd Friel, and some of the folks from the radio station and Answers in Genesis. However, I would have loved to chat with Ken Ham and Jason Lisle, but didn’t get the opprotunity. These guys have done their homework with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and we truly benefited this weekend.

If you have not been to the Creation Museum itself, plan a trip and take the family. You will see everything from stalactite’s to dinosaurs and walk through the first eleven chapters of Genesis. Here’s the kicker. It makes sense. It makes so much sense. You may believe it or you may be struggling with it, but once you see it, it’s hard to deny. Okay, well, it’s actually impossible to deny. Everything in the garden, including dinosaurs, were vegetarians. They were vegetarians up until the fall of man. You will see the effects of the fall in that time and in the present time. The flood wiped out all of the wicked on the earth and laid down the sediment with the dead and now fossilized animals. The musuem shows how this happened and it makes perfect sense, not to mention that it has evidence in rock layers “all over the world.” You will see the moon and the stars and how God’s hand has move in all of creation. He is truly awesome! I honestly don’t believe that I’m a good enough writer to describe how great this weekend was. So, just plan a trip and go to the Creation Musuem and check out Answers in Genesis.com
